Vienna City Council talks about a master plan for parks
Council will vote whether to authorize the money to start the study at its next meeting.
VIENNA, W.Va. (WTAP) - Vienna City Council hears from the President of the Vienna Park Board about a master plan for the city’s parks and recreational facilities.
Tim Roberts told council he has talked with Civil and Environmental Consultants, Incorporated, or CEC for short. A team from CEC would work up a road map for the city about what it has, and what it could add.
Council seems enthusiastic about the plan. Money for the study is already in the budget approved last year. Mayor Randy Rapp says he will put it on the agenda at its next meeting. Council will vote whether to authorize the money to start the study.
Many council members are particularly interested in what this could mean for Jackson Pool, which for the last few seasons, has not had a baby pool. We’ll keep you updated on this developing story.
