PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - UPDATE 1/27/2022 4:52 p.m.

The restaurant posted to its Facebook page that it was closed Thursday “due to damage to (the) building.”

Customers that drove up looking to eat were met with a “closed” sign and a promise of Friday’s reopening.

It was a much different scene than last night when, just after 10 o’ clock, Parkersburg Police and Fire Departments responded to the crash.

Parkersburg Chief of Police Scott Elliott confirmed that the driver suffered a medical emergency.

He says the crash was a direct result of the medical emergency.

The driver was transported to WVU Medicine Camden Clark with minor injuries.

Elliott says no charges were made.

He says community members were at the restaurant as early as 7:30 this morning to help with the repairs.
