Obituary: Jones, Jerry Paul

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - Jerry Paul Jones, 74, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away on June 26, 2022 at his residence under the loving care of his family.

He was born on February 6, 1948 in Elizabeth, WV, the son of Paul and Bernice Jones.

Jerry was a member of the Plumbers and PipeFitters Local 565 fifty-four years. He served five years in the Army National Guard. Jerry enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing also enjoyed taking his children boating on the river.

Jerry is survived by his wife Patty Lynch Jones, three children Vanessa Keller, Kim Evans (Mike), Michael Jones, two sisters Dottie Henderson (Ramsey), Diana Eaton and nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Paul Jones and Bernice Collins Jones.

Funeral services will be 11 am Friday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Evangelist Elvis Galbreath officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery North.

Visitation will be 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 on Thursday and for one hour prior to the service on Friday.
