Obituary: Collins, Sandra Jean

Sandi Collins of Parkersburg, West Virginia, passed away on Friday, September 15, at her home.
She was born March 9, 1948 in Enterprise, West Virginia. Sandi worked as an editor for many newspapers, including the Parkersburg News, The Athens Messenger, and the Northern Wyoming Daily News. She retired from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) where she worked as copy editor and production coordinator.
Sandi loved art, editing. journalism, crafting, design, and all things gorilla. She traveled to the Czech Republic many times to see her favorite troop of gorillas and made interesting friends there.
Sandi is the daughter of the late Ruth and Edgar Collins. She is survived by her daughter Zandra
Collins and her siblings Rosemary Poyet and husband Steve, Ruth Ann Collins, and Richard Collins and wife Teresa.
She has requested no visitation or funeral.
