Zach Miles

Zach Miles joined the WTAP team as the Morning Anchor/Producer in August 2021.

Zach is originally from Lawrenceville, Ga. He graduated from the University of Georgia in May 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication along with a Sports Media Certificate from the Carmical Sports Media Institute.

During his time at UGA, Zach was an anchor, producer and multimedia journalist during his senior year at Georgia’s on-campus Grady Newsource and Sportsource student news productions. He served as a technical manager for two years prior for Newsource and Sportsource, as well. He also hosted his own sports talk radio show for the school’s on-campus radio station at WUOG 90.5 while serving as a play-by-play broadcaster and color analyst for UGA sporting events and local high school sports games.

Zach had the chance to intern with the Florida Collegiate Summer League following his sophomore year where he was a play-by-play broadcaster and color analyst for the Sanford River Rats. He also managed the team’s website with game recaps and player features while also running the team’s social media.

The following summer, Zach worked remotely as a digital content intern for the United States Olympic and Paralympic Museum during the Covid-19 pandemic.

While Zach isn’t at the anchor desk or producing, he enjoys playing basketball, hiking, spending quality times with friends and family, trying new restaurants and cheering on his Georgia Bulldogs from Parkersburg.
