MEIGS COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) - Two men wanted in connection with several burglaries and thefts in the Pageville area of Meigs County are behind bars, and authorities said the investigation could lead charges against more people.
According to the Meigs County sheriff's office, deputies found Donald Gilmore, 44, at a residence on Sand Ridge Road in Albany on Jan. 31 and arrested him on two outstanding warrants.
Gilmore and his mother, Donna Savage, gave deputies consent to search the home where they found Zyon Gilmore, 22, hiding in a closet. He was arrested on a warrant for failure to report to his probation officer, according to the Meigs County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said Savage and Donald Gilmore will face additional charges for hiding Zyon Gilmore in the home.
As a result of the arrests, deputies said they were able to solve eight cases of breaking and entering, theft and burglary. Sheriff Keith Wood said he expects 12 people to be indicted in connection with the investigation.
