2 hospitalized after motorcycle crash

WOOD COUNTY, W.Va. (WTAP) - Two people were taken to WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center Tuesday evening after the driver of Harley Davidson trike motorcycle crashed on a rural road in Wood County, authorities said.

The crashed happened about 7 p.m. on Walker Road near Mount Carmel.

Wood County Sheriff Steve Stephens said Jerry Nestor, 71, of Vienna, lost control of the motorcycle and hit a guardrail while negotiating a downhill right-hand turn. He was treated for a serious arm injury, Stephens said.

A passenger, Charlotte Nestor, 58, also of Vienna, was thrown off the motorcycle, over the guardrail and down an embankment. She sustained multiple arm and leg injuries, Stephens said.
