UPDATE: 3 injured in head-on crash on Pike Street

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - UPDATE: 6/17/19 4:55 P.M.

Three people were injured and both drivers were cited by police following a head-on collision in south Parkersburg Monday afternoon.

The crash happened about 12:15 p.m. in front of the Stor-Mart storage business near the intersection of Pike and Soyer streets.

According to Parkersburg Police, Tonya Groh, 47, of Parkersburg, went left of center in her Chevrolet S-10 pickup and hit a Chrysler Sebring convertible driven by Tara Watson, 35, of Mineral Wells.

Police said both drivers and a passenger in the Sebring, Danielle Watson, 46, of Mineral Wells, were taken by ambulance to WVU-Medicine Camden Clark to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police cited Groh for driving left of center and not having proof of insurance. Tara Watson was cited for driving on a revoked license and not having proof of insurance.

The crash remains under investigation.

Three people were taken to the hospital early Monday afternoon following a 2-vehicle crash on Pike Street in south Parkersburg.

The crash, which involved a Chevrolet S-10 pickup and a Chrysler Sebring convertible, happened about 12:15 p.m. in front of the Stor-Mart storage-unit business near the intersection of Pike and Soyer streets.

Parkersburg Police said both drivers and a passenger in the Sebring were taken by ambulance to WVU Medicine Camden Clark.

Police have not released their names or conditions.

The crash remains under investigation.
