MARIETTA, Ohio (WTAP) - People in Washington County can continue celebrating the Fourth of July this weekend.
The Washington County Fairgrounds will host a Independence Day festival all day Saturday.
This year, the board added some amusement rides and more games after receiving some complaints that there wasn't enough for kids to do last year..
Board officials say they hope families will take advantage of all of the day's events at the fairgrounds.
"We try to do it not so much as a fundraiser, just something to do for the community," board president Kurt Bohlen said. "I mean we certainly incur expenses. We hope to get those expenses back and try and do something nice for the community, have a set of fireworks for the Fourth of July and hope everyone comes out and supports it."
Gates open at 11:00 a.m. and the festival will end with fireworks at 10:00 p.m.
Admission is $5 for adults and free for children 10 and younger.
