PARKERSBURG, W.Va (WTAP)- A national organization dedicated to advancing government accountability is holding a training forum for professionals to continue their education.
The Mid-Ohio Valley Chapter of the Association of Government Accountants is hosting their spring forum to provide insight on financial management, robotics, information security, and more this Tuesday at the Parkersburg Country Club.
The group is offering eight continuing professional education credit courses at the forum which will run from 8 A.M. until 4:30 P.M. as well as the chance to interact with other professionals.
“It’s a great networking opportunity because it gives you an opportunity to meet with other people in the local professional financial management industry. You don’t have to be an accountant to be involved, but if you’re interested in advancing government accountability and that’s important to you, then definitely it’s an event to try to come to,” explains Michelle Yanok, parliamentarian for the organization.
The group is also holding a reception Monday evening at the Dils Center from 5:30 to 7:30 were the AGA National President will speak.
Tickets for the forum on Tuesday for AGA members is $100, tickets for non-members is $200.
If you are interested in attending either event or need more information, you can call or text Michelle Yanok at (304) 488-1766 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to register.
