PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - Authorities across the Mid-Ohio Valley are looking for an inmate they say escaped from the Parkersburg Correctional Center early Monday morning.
The West Virginia Division of Corrections says the Wood County Magistrate Court has issued an arrest warrant on escape charges for Andrew Eric Leedy, 29, who was serving a 5 to 10 year prison sentence at the Parkersburg Correctional Center on a charge of Grand Larceny.
WVDOC officials say Leedy escaped from the prison at 12:39 AM on Monday, October 8.
Leedy is described as a black male, 6 feet tall, weighing 170 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Officials say Leedy also has multiple tattoos all over his body, including his face.
Tattoos on the sides and front of Leedy's face include stars, clouds, bats, Roman numerals, musical notes, tribal symbols, and the words "Ohio," "Amanda," and "Rip TM."

He was projected to be released in June, 2020, before Monday's escape.
