A check will be presented before the Cystic Fibrosis All Star Basketball Classic tip off.

Cystic fibrosis is an genetic disorder that affects the respiratory and digestive system. Currently, 70,000 people in the U.S. are affected with this disease.

It's the leading cause of death of all genetic diseases among teens and young adults. This year to raise money, the BACF events will be the basketball game Friday, the football game scheduled Friday, June 9 at Don Drumm Stadium in Marietta and in the fall during basket bingo.

The board is also considering an all-star girls' volleyball game for this coming winter.

It's great basketball for a great cause.

The Battle Against Cystic Fibrosis All Star Basketball Classic is set for Friday night.

The B.A.C.F. Classic features the best high school seniors from around the Mid Ohio Valley representing their home states in girls and boys all star basketball games.

The games will be played at Parkersburg South High School's Rod Oldham Athletic Center. The girls all star game is set for 5:30, while the boys game will follow at 7:30

Tickets are $5 and will be available at the door. All the money raised goes to fund research to try and help find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis

The West Virginia girls All Stars are coached by Gilmer County head coach Amy chapman. While the Mountain State's boys All Stars are coached by Mark Barnhart from St. Marys High School

The Ohio girls All stars are coached by Cory McKnight from Alexander High School, while the boys are coached by Lou Tolzda from Meadowbrook High School.

It's an opportunity to play one more game in front of their fans, but more importantly, to do their part to help find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.
