Belpre craft show benefit sees solid business throughout Saturday afternoon

BELPRE OH, (WTAP)- After much preparation and planning, the craft show to benefit students in need at Belpre City Schools took place Saturday.

Over 55 vendors filled the gym with their crafts, services, and products.

Each vendor brought in a boys or girls toy that will be given to children in the school system in need. School employee Andrea Dixon organized the event as a way to give back to the students and their families.

One vendor in particular says that giving back to so many in need is extremely rewarding to her.

“It’s important for a lot of different reasons to be involved. There’s so many people out there that need help and there’s so many that are struggling in our community and around the world,” explains Helen Sowards, a craft show vendor and creator of Made With Love By Helen.

Event organizers say that there was a steady stream of customers flowing in and out of the craft show throughout the afternoon.
