Bicyclist hurt in collision with Easy Rider bus

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - A bicyclist was taken to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after running into an Easy Rider bus in Parkersburg, authorities said.

It happened about 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of 36th Street and Emerson Avenue, and the injured rider was taken to WVU Medicine Camden Clark, police said.

Based on witness accounts, police said the bicyclist was riding north on the sidewalk along Emerson Avenue and ran into the bus after failing to stop at the intersection with 36th Street.

Police said none of the three passengers on the bus was injured.

Information about the person's injuries was not immediately available.

The bus driver was not cited, and police said the accident remains under investigation.
