PARKERSBURG, W. Va. The Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park museum continues its winter lecture series with a history lesson on Indian village sites on Blennerhassett Island from archaeologist Dr. David Fuerst.
Fuerst was on Blennerhassett Island back in the 1970's doing excavations.
Organizers want the community to know that the museum is open through winter and would like people to come out to learn about history in the Mid-Ohio Valley.
"We try to get people from this area because we are a museum of regional history and we just try to let people know that there is a lot of history out there," said Scott Cain, volunteer.
The winter lecture series will continue through the end of the month. The next lecture will be at 1:30 p.m., Ilene Evans will perform as Harriet Tubman.
