Boil Advisory in Little Hocking areas cancelled

LITTLE HOCKING, Ohio (WTAP) - UPDATE: 08/08/2019 3:35 P.M.

The Little Hocking Water Association has announced that the boil advisory in Little Hocking areas has been cancelled after a little more than 24 hours.

The advisory affected the Ridgewood Heights and Dugan Ridge areas due to a previous power outage.

Samples of the water were taken, and the results turned out favorable. Everyone affected can use water normally at this time.

The Little Hocking Water Association has announced that, due to a power outage in the area, a boil water advisory has been issued in the Ridgewood Heights, and Dugan Ridge areas.

After the power outage is repaired, the water association is recommending a boil advisory as a precaution to safeguard public health. Water should be boiled for a minimum of three minutes prior to use.

The boil advisory will take place until further notice. Little Hocking water personnel will collect water samples to determine when the advisory will be lifted.
