TROY TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WTAP) - Little Hocking Water Association issued a Boil Water Advisory on Tuesday, until further notice, for some customers on Bowman Road and Cliffside Road in Troy Township in Athens County, Ohio.

The Boil Water Advisory affects all LHWA water customers on Cliffside Road (Troy Township Road 1337), and customers on Bowman Road (Troy Township Toad 174) from approximately 0.60 mile east of its intersection with Ohio State Route 124, east to its intersection with Cliffside Road, in Troy Township.

After the repairs are made to the broken water main and water service is restored, LHWA officials recommend that all water that customers intend to use for drinking, preparation of food, or washing of dishes and cookware should be boiled for a minimum of three minutes, and then allowed to cool, prior to use.

After the repairs are made, LHWA personnel will be collecting and testing water samples to determine when the boil advisory is to be lifted.
