UPDATE: Boil advisory affect Torch area lifted

The Little Hocking Water Association has lift a boil advisory for customers in the Torch area.

The advisory had been in place while crews repaired a broken water main.

The Little Hocking Water Association has issued a boil advisory for customers in the Torch area because of a broken water main.

The advisory is for customers in Troy Township in Athens County; customers in Washington County along Hocking Road between Holdren Road and the Athens County line; and customers on Holdren Road in Washington County.

Once repairs are completed, customers should boil water for at least three minutes before drinking it, preparing food or washing dishes.

The advisory will remain in effect until testing determines the water is safe.
