CAS Cable announces breakthrough gigabit internet technology for the Mid-Ohio Valley

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - One local cable provider has expanded its technology like no other in the mountain state has done before.

The Sales and Marketing Director for CAS Cable says the new DOCSIS 3.1 technology is the future of the internet.

As of August 1st CAS customers have had the option to add the new service, "GigPlus."

She also says this new service will give customers the fastest available internet over a cable modem.

Families can now connect to multiple devices, such as tablets, computers, television without any interruptions.

Shannan Shaulis says, “We have spent about two years to come up with this service, to create this. There’s been a lot of software upgrades and a lot of time and money spent. And we’re really excited about it. Being a small town, businesses can experience what big cities aren’t even experiencing right now.”
