MARIETTA, Ohio (WTAP) - Marietta residents now have another cable, internet and phone provider in town to choose, as CAS Cable workers are installing new lines in Marietta neighborhoods.
The Parkersburg-based company is now serving downtown Marietta, as well as several neighborhoods, such as Norwood.
CAS Cable representative Andy Parsons say they are glad to be expanding into more of the Mid-Ohio Valley.
"We imagine that our attention to detail in this area is one of our strongest points. If there's an outage, there's a problem, we're the first to know and we have crews out immediately."
Marietta Safety Services Director Jonathan Hupp says he thinks Marietta residents will benefit from having another cable and Internet provider.
"Having CAS Cable move into the area and offer services creates a good healthy competition. The residents of Marietta hopefully will see lower, more competitive rates and good quality service from both of them."
CAS Cable says it hopes to have service up to all of Marietta and outlying areas, like Devola and Reno, by the end of the year.
