Car crashes into creek in Mineral Wells

MINERAL WELLS, W.Va. (WTAP) - A car crashes into a creek Tuesday evening in Mineral Wells.

The Wood County's Sheriff's Office says a car drove into a creek around 5:30 p.m. along Route 21 on Stephens Fork Road. A witness statement from one of the passengers says the driver was speeding, spun out of control, hit a mailbox and crashed into the creek.

Deputies at the scene say there were 4 people in the car, including a baby. Out of the 4 people in the car, the mother and the baby went to the hospital.

Deputies say there were no serious injuries.
