The Wood County Deputy Sheriff's Association hosted its annual bikes for tykes bike giveaway to local children in need.

The Salvation Army gives the association a list of children. The association partnered with the F.O.R club at Jackson Middle School.

The deputy association then partnered with the technical school auto body at Parkersburg South and the students built the bikes.

"It made me feel really good, it made me feel good about all the other students that helped me build them, knowing the kids were getting bikes that they wouldn't have been able to get," said Corey Lonas, student at Parkersburg South.

The Wood County Deputy Sheriff's Association were able to give away 56 bikes.
