Community members light up Marietta

MARIETTA, Ohio The Marietta community volunteered to put up the city's Christmas decorations and get in the holiday spirit. Over 50 people volunteered, braving the cold.

The decorations were provided by local donors and sponsors.

"This is an exciting time, our small businesses downtown rely a lot on their holiday foot traffic. Of course Marietta is beautiful already, so in the holiday season when we're all lit up in lights, its just even more magical," said Thomas, interim executive director, Marietta Main Street.

Next Saturday, November 23rd will be the official tree lighting.
