UPDATE: Fire damages vacant home in Parkersburg

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - UPDATE: 11/14/19 12:45 P.M.

A fire late Thursday morning damaged a vacant two-story building on Williams Street in Parkersburg.

The Parkersburg Fire Department was called to 1020 Williams Street about 11:30 a.m. and flames were reported to be coming from the building when crews arrived.

Authorities said no one was inside, and no injuries were reported.

Parkersburg firefighters are at the scene of a structure fire in the 1000-block of Williams Street.

Authorities reported seeing flames coming from the two-story structure when they arrived at the scene about 11:30 a.m.

It's unclear whether anyone was home at the time of the fire or whether anyone has been injured.
