PARKERSBURG, W. Va. (WTAP) - A global dance fundraiser will make its way to Parkersburg and create a huge flash mob on Market Street at the end of this month.
'Thrill the World'' is a national dance charity that happens annually in attempt to break a world record as the largest national flash mob, as well giving back to local organizations.
This year, dancers will perform Michael Jackson's 'Thriller'.
Put on by Brickhouse Cardio Club, this is the 8th year that the city of Parkersburg has participated in the event. Several other local organizations such as Parkersburg YMCA and WV by Dareton, LLC have partnered to support the fundraiser which is asking for donations to the Family Crisis Intervention Center.
Dancers are asked to bring household items such as laundry detergent, toothpaste, tissue, and blankets to support local families in need, especially with it being Domestic Violence Awareness month.
Rehearsals for the flash mob take place every Tuesday and Thursday at Brickhouse Cardio Club.
'Thrill the World Parkersburg' will be held on October 26, in the 400 block of Market Street at 6 p.m.
