Dayton man, Parkersburg woman jailed on heroin charges

WOOD COUNTY, W.Va. (WTAP) - Authorities arrested two people on heroin charges after a traffic stop in the Pettyville area on Monday.

Brandon L. Leak, 24, of Dayton, Ohio, and Shailyn N. Prall, 22, of Parkersburg, remain in the North Central Regional Jail charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin.

According to criminal complaint in Wood County Magistrate Court, officers conducting surveillance outside two Mineral Wells hotels saw Leak and Prall acting suspiciously and followed their vehicle when the left the area.

Officers stopped their car near the intersection of Route 14 and Hino Drive. While talking with officers, the complaint says Prall told them she had controlled substances “in the front of her pants.” She then removed
two plastic bags containing a white, powdery substance and gave them to officers. Officers also found digital scales and two cellphones.

Meanwhle, Leak was found to be in possession of a “large amount of U.S. currency” and two cellphones, and an unspecified amount of marijuana was found inside the vehicle, the complaint said.

Leak’s bond was set at $200,000 bond and Prall’s at $20,000 during their arraignment in magistrate court.
