PARKERSBURG, W. Va. (WTAP) - Vincent Kunz and Angela Harris took over the Dils Center back in July of 2019 with hopes of revitalizing the property and improving the city.
Kunze says, the Dils Center is a place where children and adults can hang out in a safe and fun environment. They plan to host various weekly events such as karaoke, comedy shows, teen dances, and much more.
The second floor of the Dils Center already houses several businesses.
Kunze says, having a fun place in the community welcomed to everyone is important.
"Parkersburg is an interesting community, Parkersburg needs something where they can go out instead of staying home," said Kunze. There are a lot of good communities, there are a lot of good people that come through here and they need something structured and positive."
The owners say, they would like to see the Dils Center become the heartbeat of the Parkersburg community. They are also planning on creating an Escrow account with funds from various events to give back to businesses in the community.
Kunze says, this year the Dils Center is hosting a number of events and hopes the community will come out and enjoy themselves.
