Doddridge County man gets 78-month sentence on federal drug-conspiracy charge

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - A federal judge sentenced a Doddridge County man to more than six years in prison on Friday for his involvement in a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, authorities said.

Jacob Wright, 37, of West Union, was sentenced to six years and six months in prison, according to U.S. Attorney Bill Powell. He pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine in March 2019.

Prosecutors said Wright admitted to working with others to distribute meth in Harrison County and elsewhere between the fall of 2017 and September 2018.
