ATHENS COUNTY, Ohio (WTAP) - UPDATE: 6/28/2018, 3:13 P.M.
Police have released the names of the two motorcyclists injured in a crash on Route 50 in Coolville on Tuesday, and details on how the crash happened.
The crash happened at 10:36 A.M. Tuesday, at the interchange of Ohio State Route 7 and U.S. Route 50, near Coolville, Ohio.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says John Horne, 50, of Flemington, W.Va. was driving a motorcycle with a passenger, Doris Potter, 68, of Weston, W.Va., when they exited Route 7 Southbound onto U.S. 50 Westbound, lost control of the motorcycle and crashed into a concrete barrier in the median.
Horne and Potter were both flown by air ambulance to Grant Medical Center in Columbus.
Hospital officials say, as of Thursday, they remain in serious condition in the Intensive Care Unit.

Police have provided new details on a motorcycle crash that injured two people on Tuesday at the Ohio State Route 7 and U.S. Route 50 split near Coolville, Ohio.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a motorcycle carrying two people crashed at 10:36 A.M. Tuesday, at the split of Ohio State Route 7 and U.S. Route 50, near the Go Mart convenience store in Coolville.
Troopers say two people on the motorcycle were flown by air ambulance to Grant Medical Center in Columbus, where they are currently in serious condition.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation and Troopers have not yet released the names of the people involved in the crash.

On Tuesday, police and rescue crews responded to a crash with injuries, at the Ohio State Route 7 and U.S. Route 50 split near Coolville, Ohio.
The Athens Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol says first responders are still on-scene and no details are available on how many people were injured or how many vehicles were involved in the crash.
