PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) Exchange students from all over the world visited local schools today to share their culture and experiences.
Forty students from the AFS exchange program stopped by ten local schools.
They came from across the globe, including Germany, Italy, Japan, France, and more. The purpose of their visit was to share their culture and experiences in the U.S. with local students.
One Blennerhassett middle school teacher says it was all about unity.
"I want them to grasp the understanding that it's not 'we are here and they are there' but we are all together in this," said Christopher Lewis. "It's a cultural exchange and hopefully they get the understanding that we are all human, we are all the same. We are all a little different but we are all here together."
The AFS exchange students are planning to gather this Saturday in Marietta for more fun activities.
