Farmers get together for agricultural field day
Farmers get together to enjoy each other's company and talk about new developments in farming Thursday night.
They got together for what they call an agricultural field day. Congressman David McKinley and Delegate John Kelly were there to talk to farmers about legislation related to agriculture. The head of the Department of Agriculture was there too to answer questions about industrial hemp and the new processing plant south of Charleston.
"Farming is always a kind of community involvement, bringing people together. I enjoy it because I get to see people that I don't always see. It's a chance for the farmers to come together", said Todd Meckley, the President of the Wood County Beef Improvement Association.
