Fire damages vacant Parkersburg home

Fire officials are investigating a fire that broke out at a vacant home in Parkersburg.
The Parkersburg Fire Department responded to a fire at 1347 Lynn Street just after 1 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
The second floor and the rear of the house sustained extensive damage. Fire officials estimate the damages to be worth $40,000.
The home's landlord confirms no one lived in the home.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
