MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WDTV) UPDATE: 12/10/18 4:45 P.M.

Fortune 500 high-tech company Leidos announced plans Monday to add 110 jobs at a new location in Morgantown.

The facility is being built at the WestRidge business and retail park near the University Town Centre.

Most of the jobs will be entry-level positions. The 110 new employees will join 140 others currently based out of three smaller locations in the area.

The company, which has an average median salary of about $76,000, said it plans to consolidate its operations into the new facility.

Officials said they hope to hire from West Virginia University and other surrounding colleges to retain professional talent in the state.

The new facility is expected to be done in late 2019.

West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice is expected to announce Monday afternoon that a Fortune 500 company will be bringing new jobs to the Mountain State.

Justice has a news conference scheduled for 2:30 p.m. in Morgantown to make the announcement.

A news release from the governor's office on Sunday did not disclose the name of the company or the number of new jobs.

Justice is also scheduled to announce the awarding of several grants.
