WILLIAMSTOWN, W.Va.-(WTAP) Governor Jim Justice is scheduled to be in Williamstown Friday, along with state officials.

An announcement from the governor's office says the governor will "announce a major new road construction project in Williamstown along with updates on other road projects in the area, through the Governor's Roads To Prosperity program".

City officials in Williamstown say the announcement will be about a roundabout that's been in the works for several years at Interstate 77 and Route 14/Highland Avenue.

Tourism Commissioner Chelsea Ruby will also provide an overview of recent improvements and renovations to the State Welcome Center.

The event is set to begin at 2 P.M. at the Williamstown Welcome Center and is open to the public.
