Simone Biles is a first time competitor in the Olympics and has dominated.

She single handedly won 4 gold medals and one bronze.

Gymniks Gymnastics the largest gymnastics gym in the state of West Virginia allows local children the opportunity to enroll and compete nationally.

Recently coaches have seen an increase that they believe may be related to the women’s team’s success.

Local coach Liz Nulter said it inspires her girls who already practice for 20 hours a week to push harder.

Nulter said, “They have always looked up to the girls and know who they are and have followed them through the years. So to see them on television and doing so well in the Olympics, it's really motivated them to come in and work a little harder and learn new tricks and to try to get there someday themselves."

That's exactly what many of the young girls plan on doing one day.

Gymniks is over 20 years old and has a competition team of over 80 athletes.

One young lady even qualified for and competed in the junior Olympics earlier this year.

With the way these girls hit the floor the next Simone Biles could be from right here in the Mid-Ohio Valley.
