MARIETTA, Ohio (WTAP) Marietta College has a special guest speaker Monday night for International Human Rights Day.

Marion Blumenthal Lazan was a child during Hitler's reign. Her family went to prison camps, including the infamous Bergen-Belsen. She told the audience about what it was like to live in fear and terror.

Despite all she went through, she shares a message of courage, hope, and the will to survive.

"It's not only because of today's political climate worldwide that this is important. It's important for audiences of all ages to hear this, while there is still time," she said.

She says she felt inspired to talk about her experiences because of Anne Frank.
