VIENNA W.Va, (WTAP)- A Hot Wheels car show was held at Jackson Park to benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Huntington.
The event had a $5.00 door charge for adults, held an auction, and accepted donations for the cause. Many of the 8 vendors in attendance lowered the prices on their merchandise.
Kids were able to attend the event for free and were given a Hot Wheels car for attending.
“The Hospitals do so much, especially St. Jude’s and I like to do stuff for the community, raise money as much as I can,” says Rick Dotson, the event organizer.
This event had close to 250 people in attendance and is estimated to have raised $500.
Another event with hot wheels, car parts, and old time hot rods will take place at the Jackson Park Community building on March 9th.
That event will benefit the Parkersburg Humane Society and WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital in Morgantown.
