An update to a fire that happened Thursday night in rural Washington County.

The fire happened on Stanleyville Narrows Road around 3:00pm.

Chief Jeff Lauer of the Fearing Volunteer Fire Department says when his crew got the house the two story home was fully engulfed in flames and the roof had collapsed.

The fire also spread to the yard and caused a brush fire.

The Salem Township Volunteer Fire Department, The Devola Volunteer Fire Company and the Reno Volunteer Fire Departments all helped battle the fires.

Lauer says the home is a total loss.

No one was in the home at the time of the fire and no one was injured. But Lauer say the heat made it difficult for first responders.

The Ohio State Fire Marshall is looking into what started the fire.

There is a large fire on Stanleyville Road in Stanleyville, Ohio.

According to Washington County Sheriff Larry Mincks, it's fully involved.

A building is on fire, along with a car. The fire has also spread to the grass, which could potentially lead to a brush fire.
