MINERAL WELLS, W.Va. (WTAP) - Local children got to experience history today in Mineral Wells.

The New Era One Room School opened its doors for students to tour.

Plus, the children got to see how apple butter is made and taste some samples.

The volunteers who maintain the school say they have been doing this for years as a way to get kids involved in the local history that has been preserved.
