Local churches coming together for freedom from addiction concert

PARKERSBURG, W. Va. High on Hope Ministries is partnering with Freedom Gate Church and other local organizations for a community concert at Parkersburg High School.

The famous Christian rock band, Petra will be headlining the show.

The Freedom from Addiction concert will highlight the resources available to help people fight addiction and focus on finding solutions to the drug crisis.

"They're going to be able to see people who were once addicted who have found a way out of that lifestyle. That's one of the things that we're excited about is to continue building this model I believe God is building here in the Mid-Ohio Valley for recovery," said Kraft, founder of High on Hope Ministries.

"I think the main thing that we're all hoping comes from this event is that people in the community get the help they need and are able to network with each other so that we can create a better community and I think everyone is fed up with the problem and we're ready to work together to create a solution," said Vantana, promoter.

The concert will be at Parkersburg High School, October 19th at 7 p.m.

Tickets are as follows:

Balcony: $7.50
