PARKERSBURG, W. Va. (WTAP) - It isn’t every day you get to represent your state on a national stage, but one Parkersburg student has won that exact opportunity.

Sarah Weeks, a student at WVU-Parkersburg, was crowned Miss West Virginia Collegiate America 2019 in January.

In June, she will be competing for the National Title of Miss Collegiate America in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Sarah’s personal platform is "BeaYOUtiful," which focuses on self-empowerment and finding confidence in yourself.

Sarah majors in Strategic Communications at WVU-Parkersburg, and hopes to go into Journalism and eventually be a reporter for ESPN.
