MARIETTA, Ohio (WTAP) - A local nonprofit is getting ready to raise money with a "sweet" tradition.
Eve, Incorporated is holding its 30th Chocolate Party Sunday at Glenwood Community in Marietta.
Open to the public, the event helps raise money for the group's operating costs that are not covered by grants, such as utilities.
Eve helps men, women and children who are victims of domestic violence and sexual assault with shelter and various services.
"It's an unlimited amount of chocolate," said Lashley Moser, a prevention specialist with Eve. "All of our services are free. We are a United Way agency and shelter's free, counseling is free, legal services are free, everything we do is free for men and women."
"In order for us to continue for everything to be free, the community support means a lot."
Tickets are $5 for kids, $10 for adults and $25 for families. You can reach out to Eve at 740-374-5820 if you want tickets, if you want to donate chocolate to the event or if you want to donate anything to the shelter.
