For the eighth time this year, a loaded handgun has been caught at the Huntington Tri-State Airport.

A Hamlin, W. Va. man was cited by police after he was caught by TSA officers with his gun in a carry-on bag on Sunday.

Airport police officers were notified, the gun was confiscated, and the man was detained for questioning before being cited on a weapons violation.

At the Huntington airport, passengers are allowed to travel with firearms as long as they are properly packaged and unloaded.
