Marietta Main Street is doing something different this holiday season with the memory tree walk at Muskingum Park.

Local businesses and organizations in Marietta decorated and sponsored these trees. Some trees are in memory of a loved one and others are just simply decorated.

Children got to take pictures with Santa in the "Santa House."

"It gives everybody a chance, every organization to come out and express themselves and to basically show why they're proud of downtown, said Tim Glover, president of Marietta Main Street board. Why they're proud of their business, what is special about Christmas to them; it's reflected in all the decorations."

This event is apart the Hometown Holidays Celebration put together by the Hometown Holidays committee.

There will be cookies and cocoa served every weekend, sponsored by different organizations.

The Santa House will be open every weekend until December 22nd.

Every Saturday, 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Every Sunday, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Donations are accepted and help Marietta Main Street.
