MARIETTA, Ohio (WTAP) - Statistics show nearly six million Americans are expected to be dealing with Alzheimer’s disease in 2019, but only a small percentage of those cases of those care involve are early onset Alzheimer’s.
A movie premiering this weekend in Marietta aims to highlight this group.
"Losing Breen," a movie about the struggle of a family to care for someone with early onset Alzheimer's will have a red-carpet premiere at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Odyssey 7 theaters. Actors and crew members will be in attendance.
The event benefiting the Alzheimer's Association aims to increase awareness and raise money to fight the disease. Advance tickets are available by contacting Bethany Brown at 740-336-8885. Tickets will also be available at the theater on Saturday.
