Mulberry Lane prepares for Small Business Saturday

PARKERSBURG W.Va. (WTAP) - After Black Friday comes Small Business Saturday, and one local store in the Mid-Ohio Valley gets prepared for their busiest day of the year.

Mulberry Lane Country Store has good crowds during the holiday season, but they are nothing compared to what it will be like on Small Business Saturday.

On Saturday, many special discounts will be featured, including locally made items, which are key to their business.

The employees of the store will treat Saturday as a much bigger deal than they do for Black Friday, and they are excited to show off everything they have to offer.

"Small Business Saturday has become a lot bigger than Black Friday, especially for us," said Kate Salmans, employee at the store. "We love when people come in and shop local, and we have a lot of Christmas decorations up so we're ready for the holidays."

To celebrate Small Business Saturday, Mulberry Lane will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., longer than their normal Saturday hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
