New banner put up in downtown Parkersburg

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - There’s new artwork to greet you when you pass through downtown Parkersburg.

Downtown PKB recently put up a banner on the WesBanco building at 4th and Market streets.

The banner says “Greetings from Parkersburg #DowntownPKB.”

Each letter in Parkersburg shows different places throughout the Mid-Ohio Valley.

WesBanco’s market president for the Parkersburg region says this is a nice touch on downtown.

“We had a place to put it up and there's a lot of traffic, both foot traffic during the day and car traffic, you can see it from Juliana Street, certainly from 4th Street, so we think that’s a nice place to put it up and we were able to get it up in time for the summer,” Joe Campbell of WesBanco said.

The banner replaces a banner put on the Citizens Bank building, which was torn down last year.
