ODOT and WVDOH prepared for ongoing winter weather

MARIETTA, Oh. (WTAP) - With snow today and more possible by this weekend we checked in with Ohio Department of Transportation and the West Virginia Division of Highways to see how they are preparing.
Speaking to ODOT, they say they have used fewer resources compared to last year thanks to the quiet start to winter here in the Mid-Ohio Valley.
WVDOH has 15 thousand tons of salt and over 50 thousand gallons of brine ready in the local district.
With the possibility of plows being on the road for the first time this season, it is important to remember to drive safely.
