One of oldest flags known to exist on display in Ohio

FINDLAY, Ohio (NBC) - June 14th is Flag Day and this year one of the oldest flags known to exist will be on display in Findlay, Ohio, also known as Flag City, U.S.A.

The rare 13 star American flag will be on display at the Hancock Historical Museum.

The Revolutionary War-era flag is owned by the Mooney family of Cincinnati and was recently on display at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center.

The flag is believed to have been used during the Revolutionary War at Fort Independence in Boston.

The flag will be on display through July 5th.
