Man killed in crash in Meigs County

MEIGS COUNTY, Ohio (WTAP) - One person was killed Friday morning in a crash in Meigs County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

James J. Howling, 49, of Jackson, Ohio, was driving a 2001 Kenworth T800 southeast on State Route 248 near milepost 7 near Chester when the truck overturned, slid left off the highway, hit a tree and caught fire.

The crash remains under investigation.
